  We visited Central Cafe on Saterday 30th June 'Mevagissey Feast Week'. Understandably it was very busy BUT that does not excuse the poor meal we were served up. Myself, my partner and my friend all ordered the all day breakfast, when it arrived the beans looked like they had sat there all day begging someone to eat them before they completly dried up, the eggs were similar, hard yokes and definatly been cooked long before they were served up on our plates, the sausages were of cheep poor quality. My daughter and her friend ordered chicken nuggets and chips, we orederd the adult size portion only to realise that, that ment load the plate with chips! we also ordered two cups of tea and a cup of coffee, WELL on arrival I can only discribe this as they must of dunked the cups in the washing up bowl, as they all resembled dish water swirling around in the cup needless to say they got sent back and a cup of bark tea and coffee replaced them!!. As I have all ready said it was very busy being the last evening of feast week. The waitress was clearly not happy, she looked very flustered and stressed but she did manage a smile for us. All in all very expensive for poor quality food, dirty sticky tables, and too many tables crammed into a tiny room. You may find this review harsh but as I have worked for one of the only pubs in cornwall to be awarde the gold chef award, I know the standards that are required, it should be within all food establisments.
